Lifestyle Enterprise CEO: ‘We’re bigger, better, stronger’

HIGH POINT — The first buyers came to Lifestyle Enterprise’s new showroom in what was once the historic downtown High Point Post Office on Monday, and company executives said that, along with the new space, new products are attracting attention.

CEO Michael Hsieh said that the purchase of the building represents a commitment to High Point Market and the surrounding community, while the product expansions showcase the company’s commitment to providing whole-home value propositions for its customers.

“It’s been a crazy couple of months leading up to market week, but in the end, everyone pulled through, and everything came together perfectly,” Hsieh said. “We had our very first customer at 8:30 on Monday morning.”

‘Wow’ From the Moment They Walk In

The pace of customers has been steady since Monday, and Hsieh said the “wow factor” is a common theme among the buyers.

“The first wow is as they step into the lobby: They see the lights, the grandeur of everything,” he said. “Then the wows continue as they see the different floors and the new categories we’re pushing out. We have solid wood bedrooms, immersive sound, new motion. So it’s the showroom, the aesthetics and the product categories we have. The overall reaction is just ‘wow!’ from the customers.”

From the historic lobby to new categories like solid wood bedrooms, immersive sound, and motion upholstery, buyers are responding with one word: “wow.”

Value That Makes Sense for Today’s Consumer

Hsieh said he thinks retailers are looking for value that makes sense for their customers — especially in a climate where every major purchase is carefully considered.

“Money’s tight, and when consumers make a purchase, they want to make sure it’s a smart purchase,” said Hsieh. “They want to really squeeze the value out of whatever it is and especially for bigger spending like furniture.”

“So our strategy — like you saw in the immersive sound, in entertainment or even in case goods we’re putting in — we’re adding value with things that make sense so that the customers will actually use it, things that are useful and beneficial for the customers.”

Bigger. Better. Stronger.

As Hsieh reflected on the new showroom and expanded assortment, he summed up Lifestyle Enterprise’s position this market in three words: bigger, better, stronger.

  • Bigger: A larger, more immersive showroom environment in a landmark building.
  • Better: A stronger product range with improved values across whole-home categories.
  • Stronger: Thoughtful additions and details that enhance how customers live with the product every day.
“Lifestyle is bigger, better and stronger this market. Bigger in the literal sense that we’re in a bigger showroom. Better in that we have a better product range and better values. And stronger in the additions we have made to our product line — the little details that make a difference.”

“We’re trying to give consumers a total package,” Hsieh concluded — one that blends showroom experience, product innovation, and everyday value.
