Lifestyle expands furniture sourcing strategy at High Point
HIGH POINT — Lifestyle Enterprise continues to strengthen its furniture sourcing strategy as furniture retailers look for stronger value, greater flexibility, and fresh product opportunities in a changing market.
At High Point Market, Lifestyle’s management team shared how the company is expanding beyond its long-standing reputation as a promotional value supplier. While value remains central to the company’s identity, Lifestyle is now building that value across multiple price points, product categories, and sourcing regions.
Expanding Value Across More Price Points
Lifestyle has always been known as a value leader in the furniture industry. That foundation remains important, but the company is now focused on giving dealers more flexibility in how they merchandise and price products on their showroom floors.
Kevin Castellani, President of Operations, shared with Furniture Today that Lifestyle still offers strong promotional pricing, but the company has also traded up to provide value across multiple price points. This allows Lifestyle to serve both major retailers and smaller dealers looking for products that can compete at different levels of the market.

Solid Wood Becomes a Bigger Part of the Strategy
A major part of Lifestyle’s latest furniture sourcing strategy is the expansion into solid wood bedroom collections. The company introduced the Dovetail collection last fall and continued the story with the Lumber collection at High Point Market.
These collections reflect Lifestyle’s goal of pairing quality workmanship with aggressive value. For retailers, solid wood gives customers a stronger material story while still staying aligned with Lifestyle’s practical, retail-focused pricing approach.
A Multi-Country Furniture Sourcing Strategy
Lifestyle’s sourcing infrastructure is one of the company’s biggest advantages. According to Kevin Castellani, Lifestyle works with around 40 factories across China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Vietnam, supported by a large sourcing team in Asia.
This multi-country furniture sourcing strategy gives Lifestyle the ability to move based on production capability instead of being tied to one factory or one country. China remains important for categories such as glass and metal, while Bangladesh is becoming a key hub for solid wood programs.
By staying flexible, Lifestyle can match each product category with the region best suited to produce it. This allows the company to respond faster to market opportunities while maintaining closer control over materials, design, and production quality.
Bangladesh Supports the Solid Wood Direction
Derrick Ng, President of Case Goods, explained that Lifestyle’s sourcing footprint has evolved over time in response to both trade policy and production capabilities.
Lifestyle started in China, then expanded sourcing into Malaysia and Vietnam. The company has been sourcing from Malaysia and Vietnam for about 20 years. Today, Bangladesh is becoming a stronger focus, especially for solid wood programs.
According to Ng, earlier attempts to develop solid wood product in Vietnam were more challenging because some facilities were either too busy or not set up to execute the category the way Lifestyle needed. Bangladesh offers advantages that make it more suitable for solid wood production, including the ability to properly treat the wood and execute the product direction.
Control, Speed, and Responsibility
Lifestyle’s furniture sourcing strategy is not only about selecting factories. The company remains closely involved in materials, production coordination, and execution.
Castellani explained that Lifestyle controls materials, works directly with factories, and has people on the ground rather than relying only on standard quality control. This gives the company greater visibility and responsibility across the supply chain.
That approach also helps Lifestyle build stronger relationships with factory partners. By paying quickly, taking responsibility when issues arise, and maintaining teams close to production, Lifestyle creates a sourcing model built on speed, trust, and accountability.
Focusing on What Retailers Can Control
Tariffs, economic uncertainty, and global supply chain changes remain part of the furniture industry conversation. However, Lifestyle’s management team continues to focus on what the company can control.
For retailers, the conversation is still centered on product. They want to know what is new, what is different, and what they can place on their floors. In that environment, fresh product and strong value continue to drive engagement.
Looking Ahead
Lifestyle Enterprise’s furniture sourcing strategy continues to evolve with the needs of retailers. From solid wood bedroom collections to a multi-country sourcing network, the company is focused on helping dealers access fresh, retail-ready products with strong value and flexible supply options.
As Lifestyle continues to expand its sourcing capabilities, the goal remains clear: help retailers find products that are practical, competitive, and ready for today’s showroom floor.
With strong sourcing teams, long-standing factory relationships, and a growing focus on solid wood programs, Lifestyle is positioned to support retailers through a changing furniture market with speed, flexibility, and confidence.
